Future Simple Tense

The Future Simple tense is used to talk about actions or events that will happen in the future. It's formed with "will" + base verb and is one of the most common ways to express future time in English.

1. Form

The Future Simple is formed with:

Subject + will + base verb (V1)

For all subjects (I, you, he, she, it, we, they), we use will:

Examples:

  • I will go to the store tomorrow.
  • She will call you later.
  • They will arrive at 3 PM.

Contractions:

  • I will → I**'ll**
  • You will → You**'ll**
  • He/She/It will → He/She/It**'ll**
  • We will → We**'ll**
  • They will → They**'ll**

We use Future Simple to make predictions based on our opinion or experience.
